Tyler Webster, a native Texan, is pursuing his Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Texas at Austin under the tutelage of Professor Jonathan Gunn and is currently the Assistant Instructor of Clarinet for the UT clarinet studio. Prior, Mr. Webster obtained his Artist Diploma from UT in 2017. He has also earned his M.M. from Northwestern with Steve Cohen and his B.M. from Texas Tech University with Dr. David Shea.

In his time at UT, Mr. Webster has been very active on the audition circuit. He has been a finalist for the "President's Own" Marine Band and the Air Force Premiere Band, where he was offered a position with the "Heritage Band of America.” Mr. Webster also won the Associate Principal/ Eb clarinetist positions of the Abilene Philharmonic and the Midland Odessa Symphony & Choral. Along with these positions, he performs regularly with the Victoria Symphony, Lubbock Symphony, Big Spring Symphony, Central Texas Philharmonic, Density 512, Southwestern University Symphony & Choral, and the San Antonio Symphony. Mr. Webster also regularly attends various summer orchestral institutes, including the Round Top Festival, Brevard Music Festival, Domaine Forget, Aria Institute, and Eastern Music Festival.
At UT, Mr. Webster has toured as concertmaster with the Wind Ensemble under the direction of Jerry Junkin.
