Eduard Teregulov

Russian-born cellist Eduard Teregulov is a soloist, chamber performer, and cello instructor. Winner of Youth String Competition in Russia, International competition “Citta Di Barletta” in Italy, and NOLA Chamber Fest in the United States, he enjoys his career as a contemporary and classical cellist. Member of Homegrown New Music Ensemble and Constantinides New Music Ensemble, Dr. Teregulov also performs as a soloist and a member of a duo with his wife, pianist Albina Khaliapova. 

In addition to performing traditional repertoire, Eduard is an advocate for contemporary music. He actively collaborates with living composers from the United States and around the world.

His dissertation project focused on the expansion of the cello repertoire in the 21st century and was dedicated to performing analysis of newly commissioned works for cello and electronics by composers such as Paul Lewis, Thomas Wilson, Austin Franklin, and Alex Shanafelt.

Eduard has played in various orchestras in both Russia and the United States, including National Symphony Orchestra of Bashkortostan, Symphony Orchestra of Opera and Ballet Theater of Bashkortostan, Chamber Orchestra “Bashkortostan”, Youth International Symphony Orchestra of the Volga Region, Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra, Wellesley Symphony Orchestra, South Shore Symphony Orchestra in Tampa Bay, Baton Rouge Civic Orchestra, Rapids Symphony Orchestra.

Eduard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and Education from Ufa State Academy of Arts in Russia,  his Master of Music degree from the University of South Florida, and his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Cello Performance from Louisiana State University.
